Cedar Stars Academy North is the union of Cedar Stars Bergen and Cedar Stars Newark. These divisions have combined to work under one club management structure, in order to give players in both divisions a clear developmental and competition pathway.
ZONE 1
CSA North will operate under a logistical concept at the Zone One age group (U8 to U12). Meaning teams and programs will be managed under the Bergen Zone 1 and Newark Zone 1 umbrellas depending on player location and individual development needs.
Players will have the chance to play and compete with each other when the teams combine for Winter & Summer Select. Additional combined training/competitions/tournaments will be added where club management desires.
ZONE 2
At the Zone Two age group (U13 to U19) teams will be managed based on a performance level concept. Meaning the players will be filtered and streamed based on ability, progress and their individual projected pathway through Cedar Stars Academy.
HIGH SCHOOL
Saint Benedicts Prep School will now be Cedar Stars Academy official residential school program, offering students from across the country the opportunity to attend the #1 ranked high school soccer program in the US and also to be part of an elite soccer environment post the high school season with Cedar Stars Academy offering three levels of competition.
Teams will compete in the many various entities which support and promote youth soccer.

It will afford deserving players from the CSA Newark Division a clearer pathway into the MLS Next environment, and also helps strengthen the existing talent pool for the CSA Bergen MLS Next teams. The inclusion of the St. Benedict's Residential component allows us to open the doors to more comprehensive full-time programming and take a greater stand in the development of our players on and off the field."
